Trace Analyzer Benchmark of a Single Stripline

The parameters for the stripline are given below:

• w = 12.5 um
• b = 25.4 um
• t = 1.4 um
• er = 3.25

Characteristic impedance values computed by FlexPDE, a finite element (FEM) tool, and LINPAR, a method of moment (MOM) tool, are listed below:

* NOTE: Since Trace Analyzer applet only evaluate the lossless parameters, LINPAR is configured to report only the L/C matrices in order to have to fair comparison.

A specialized version of Trace Analyzer is shown below. User can verify the result by using menu Calculate::Impedance and use it as a template to solve similar problems.
