Difference between DEMO and Regular Licenses
Each downloaded tool contains a DEMO license, which enables some useful but limited engineering calculations:
|
DEMO License |
Regular License |
HSPICE Waveform Viewer 1.1/1.2
|
Plot only one waveform at a time |
Plot unlimited number of waveforms |
Not able to export waveform |
Export waveform data to text file |
S-Parameter Explorer 2.0/2.1
|
S-parameter calculation from N-coupled transmission-line RLGC matrices, with N<=2 |
S-parameter calculation from N-coupled transmission-line RLGC matrices, with no limit on N |
Output matrix of mixed-mode conversion is cryptic |
In Version 2.1, the mixed-mode matrix can be split into {DD, DC, CD, CC} matrices |
Extraction of RLGC matrix parameters from (2N)-port S-parameters for N<=2 |
Extraction of RLGC matrix parameters from (2N)-port S-parameters, with no limit on number of conductors, N |
Composition of new S-parameter data from up to 3 existing S-blocks and lumped elements |
Composition of new S-parameter data from any number of existing S-blocks and lumped elements |
Trace Analyzer 2.0 |
Perform RLGC calculations for transmission-line structure with up to 2 conductor traces |
Perform RLGC calculations for transmission-line structure with any number of conductor traces |
You are strongly encouraged to first try out the tools by exercising through the included examples with the DEMO licenses. If the assessment is positive, and you wish to have the limitations removed, please consider purchase a regular licence for each of the tools.
Available Licenses
Before purchasing a license, you need to get the 48-bit MAC address from the computer to which the license will be deployed. This can be done, within any of the EE Circle tools, by choosing the menu Help::About and the MAC information will be displayed in the last line of the pop-up text window. An example MAC address may look like: 00-2D-C1-34-57-0E. For some computers, the MAC address may contain distorted digits..In that case, please use the exact (even distorted) address during purchase.
License can be obtained with either with or without an expiration date. A "permanent" license will never expire. On the other hand, a "1 year" license has an expiration date one year after the issuing date. Likewise, the "2 year" and "5 year" licenses have expiration dates two and five years from the issuing date, respectively. The license automatically becomes a DEMO license after passing the expiration date.

Orders made by California residents are subject to sales tax at 9.25%.
EE Circle will process your order promptly, generate and send the required license files to you via e-mail within 3 business days.
Instructions on Upgrading the License
Assume $TOOL represents the directory where the particular EE Circle tool is installed. When a license file is sent to the user, the following easy steps describe how the newly purchased license shall be installed:
- Copy the new license file (needs to be unzipped if it is sent as a zip file) to the $TOOL/conf directory
- Rename the old "license.lic" file to a different name, say "license.lic.default"
- Rename the new license file to "license.lic"
- Re-launch the tool, use the Help::About menu to verify that a REGULAR license is installed
